Zellner Construction partnered with Self+Tucker Architects to deliver the Universal Parenting Place (UPP), one of the nation’s first family resource centers dedicated to providing judgment-free counseling, education, and support for parents and children. Located in Memphis, the project was completed as a tenant buildout, transforming existing interior space into a warm, inviting environment.
The buildout included a mix of counseling rooms, flexible activity zones, and playful child-focused areas, all finished with bright, durable materials that balance comfort with function. Careful coordination allowed the design intent to be fully realized – creating a space that is both welcoming to families and efficient for staff operations.
This project reflects Zellner Construction’s ability to execute complex interior renovations with a strong emphasis on design detail, client vision, and community impact. The Universal Parenting Place continues to serve Memphis families as a multi-purpose hub for parenting resources, education, and wellness support.
