Zellner Construction transformed a 45,000-square-foot former Kroger grocery store into the new Southwest Tennessee Community College Whitehaven Campus. This extensive renovation converted the space into a modern educational facility featuring classrooms, a computer lab, science labs, a library, and administrative offices. Designed by Haizlip Studio, the project required careful coordination to adapt the retail structure to meet institutional needs, emphasizing functionality and comfort for students and staff.
The repurposed building now supports the college’s mission to provide accessible, quality education in the Whitehaven community. This adaptive reuse project showcases Zellner’s expertise in converting unconventional spaces into dynamic learning environments while adhering to schedule and budget requirements.
