Zellner played a central role in transforming the former Raleigh Springs Mall into a vibrant civic destination for the City of Memphis. Phase II of the Raleigh Town Center included construction of a state-of-the-art multi-division police precinct, a modern public library with community spaces like computer labs and a training kitchen, and expansive green space designed for public use. The 68-acre site features two manmade lakes, a one-mile walking trail, a skate park, and a fueling center – each element executed with meticulous attention to architectural detail. From radiused mesh screens and ACM panels to complex concrete retaining walls and a cantilevered storefront, the project demanded tight-tolerance geometry and bold design. More than just a redevelopment, the project reflects years of community input and civic vision, bringing essential services, recreational amenities, and lasting investment into the heart of Raleigh.
