Zellner Construction partnered with the City of Memphis to deliver the city’s first public skate park, transforming a long anticipated vision into an inclusive destination at Tobey Park. The facility features a variety of elements suited for all skill levels – from deep bowls and snake runs to rails, ramps, and stairs – creating a dynamic space for skateboarders, rollerbladers, bikers, and more. Built with accessibility and safety in mind, the park includes lighting for extended hours and designated usage guidelines to support community wellness. Since opening in 2011, Tobey has become a beloved hub for active recreation and youth engagement, located just outside of the Cooper-Young neighborhood in Memphis. By creating a gathering space for skaters and other community members, Zellner helped establish a lasting investment in the center of Midtown Memphis.
