For the City of Memphis, Zellner Construction completed a complex, multi-building Public Works campus expansion serving Drain Maintenance, Heavy Equipment, and Environmental Maintenance operations. The work included two new ground-up facilities, a complete renovation of one existing building, and a major renovation and expansion of another, along with selective demolition, a new storage shed, wash pad, paving, above-ground support infrastructure, and extensive sitework.

Because the campus remained operational throughout construction, close coordination between Zellner Construction and the City of Memphis was critical to minimizing disruption to ongoing Public Works activities. Careful phasing, communication, and day-to-day coordination enabled construction to proceed while maintaining access, supporting active operations, and minimizing impacts on essential City services.

The project created a modernized space for administrative, maintenance, storage, and operational functions across a large municipal site. By combining new construction with substantial renovation and expansion work, the project strengthened the City’s operational capacity and delivered a coordinated facility environment built to support essential public services.
